These Terms & Conditions apply to semi-custom stationery and related products and services purchased from Albany Lane Paperie, a brand of Albany Lane, LLC (“Albany Lane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order, submitting payment, or approving a proof for production, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

SEMI-CUSTOM DESIGN

Albany Lane Paperie collections are professionally designed semi-custom stationery. Each collection has been intentionally created with a particular aesthetic, layout, typography, artwork, and overall design direction.

Your suite will be personalized with the information applicable to your event, including names, dates, times, locations, wording, colors, and other options offered on the applicable product page.

Requests for significant changes to layouts, artwork, typography, or other elements outside the available personalization options may require a custom design fee or may not be available within the semi-custom collection.

PERSONALIZATION & REVISIONS

Your order includes the personalization and number of proofing rounds stated on the applicable product page, proposal, or invoice.

Unless otherwise stated, Albany Lane's semi-custom invitation suites include two rounds of revisions following the initial proof, for a total of three proof presentations. Additional revisions may be purchased for an additional fee.

Revisions are intended for reasonable changes to wording, event information, color selections, and available personalization options. A request that substantially changes the selected design or requires a new design direction may be quoted separately.

Changes requested after final approval may require additional design, production, reprinting, and shipping fees.

PROOFING & FINAL APPROVAL

Digital proofs will be provided before your stationery is sent to production.

You are responsible for carefully reviewing every proof for accuracy before approving it. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Names and spelling
  • Dates and times
  • Venue names and addresses
  • Website addresses
  • RSVP information
  • Punctuation and grammar
  • Guest names and mailing addresses
  • Quantities
  • Colors, paper selections, print methods, and other selected options

Your final approval constitutes authorization for Albany Lane to produce the approved design.

Once final approval has been provided and production has begun, changes cannot be guaranteed. If an error appears in an approved proof, the client is responsible for all costs associated with correcting, reprinting, reproducing, and shipping replacement pieces.

If an error in the finished product differs from the final approved proof due to an error by Albany Lane or one of our production partners, we will work with you to correct or reprint the affected item at no additional cost.

CLIENT-PROVIDED INFORMATION & MATERIALS

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information needed to produce your order in a timely manner.

Production timelines cannot begin or be guaranteed until Albany Lane has received all required information, selections, wording, guest lists, addresses, approvals, and other materials necessary to complete the order.

If you provide photographs, artwork, logos, illustrations, monograms, fonts, or other creative materials for inclusion in your stationery, you represent that you own those materials or have obtained all necessary permission to reproduce and use them.

Albany Lane reserves the right to decline the use of materials we reasonably believe may infringe another person's intellectual property rights.

PRODUCTION & TIMING

Estimated proofing and production timelines are provided as a guide and begin only after all information and materials required from the client have been received.

Timelines may be affected by:

  • Delayed client responses or approvals
  • Additional revision rounds
  • Custom artwork or venue illustrations
  • Specialty printing or finishing processes
  • Paper or material availability
  • Vendor production schedules
  • Shipping delays
  • Holidays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control

Custom artwork, venue illustrations, specialty printing, letterpress, foil, custom fabrication, or other upgraded services may require additional production time.

Rush service may be available for qualifying orders for an additional fee and is subject to production capacity and vendor availability.

Event dates are considered when establishing your production schedule, but Albany Lane cannot guarantee deadlines that are affected by delayed client responses, incomplete information, shipping carrier delays, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

COLOR, PAPER, & PRODUCTION VARIATIONS

Colors displayed on a computer, phone, or tablet may vary from the colors produced in print. Screen settings, paper color, printing method, ink coverage, and other variables can affect the appearance of a finished piece.

Samples are encouraged when precise color matching is important.

Many of the materials and processes used in fine stationery naturally include subtle variation. Letterpress impression, foil registration, ink coverage, handmade paper, deckled edges, wax seals, ribbon, envelope liners, and other specialty elements may vary slightly from piece to piece.

These minor differences are considered characteristics of the materials and production processes rather than defects.

Paper stocks, envelope colors, ribbons, inks, and other materials are also subject to manufacturer availability. If a selected material becomes unavailable, Albany Lane will contact you to discuss an appropriate alternative before production.

QUANTITIES & REORDERS

We strongly recommend ordering additional stationery at the time of your original order to accommodate late additions, address changes, keepsakes, photographer copies, and unexpected needs.

Reorders placed after the original production run may be subject to:

  • Minimum reorder quantities
  • New production or setup fees
  • Updated vendor pricing
  • Additional shipping charges
  • Material availability

Because paper, ink, foil, and other materials may come from different production batches, Albany Lane cannot guarantee an exact color or material match between an original order and a later reorder.

PAYMENT

Pricing and payment terms are those shown on the applicable product page, checkout page, proposal, or invoice at the time the order is placed.

Production will not begin until any required payment, deposit, or retainer has been received.

Final production may be held until all outstanding balances associated with the order have been paid in full.

Additional services, revisions, reprints, rush fees, shipping upgrades, artwork licenses, or other items requested after the original order may be invoiced separately.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Shipping charges and available delivery methods will be shown at checkout, included in your proposal, or invoiced separately as applicable.

When your order ships, tracking information will be provided when available.

Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery timing is subject to that carrier's operations. Albany Lane cannot guarantee carrier delivery dates or be responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the client, or other circumstances outside our control.

If an order arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the packaging and contents and contact Albany Lane promptly so that we can evaluate the issue and, when appropriate, pursue a claim with the shipping carrier or production partner.

Expedited shipping may be available upon request for an additional fee.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES, & CANCELLATIONS

Because Albany Lane products are personalized and made specifically for each client, all custom and semi-custom stationery sales are final once production has begun.

We do not accept returns or exchanges due to a change of mind, event changes, or errors contained in a proof that was approved by the client.

If you request cancellation before production begins, any refund or remaining balance due will be determined according to the payment and cancellation terms presented with your order. Design fees, retainers, custom artwork fees, completed design work, and other nonrecoverable expenses may be nonrefundable.

Once an order has entered production, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

EVENT CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Albany Lane is not responsible for costs resulting from the cancellation, postponement, relocation, or modification of an event after stationery has been designed, approved, or produced.

If your event details change before production begins, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the change. Additional design or revision fees may apply.

If changes occur after production has begun, replacement stationery will be considered a new production order and will be priced accordingly.

Albany Lane may use trusted third-party printers, production partners, manufacturers, payment processors, shipping providers, and other vendors to fulfill portions of your order.

While we carefully select our production partners and will work on your behalf to resolve production issues, Albany Lane is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL

Albany Lane will not be responsible for delays or inability to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, power or internet outages, labor disruptions, supply-chain interruptions, material shortages, carrier delays, government actions, illness or emergency, or failure of a third-party production partner.

If such an event occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with you and resume work as soon as it is practical.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Albany Lane's liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount actually paid to Albany Lane for the portion of the order giving rise to the claim.

Albany Lane is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from delayed stationery, event changes, lost opportunities, vendor delays, carrier delays, or errors approved by the client.
