I’ve always loved paper.

I studied graphic design and print methods in art school and worked in a print shop during college. I loved all of it—the paper, the ink, the machinery, and especially watching something I designed become something I could actually hold.

Then the internet happened.

Web design was the future, and my career took a very different turn. Then, there was an MBA and eventually years spent in branding and marketing for some very big brands. I loved the work and learned a lot along the way, but I never stopped missing print.

I missed paper. I missed choosing the stock, thinking about how ink would sit on the page, and designing something meant to be held instead of scrolled past.

Albany Lane Paperie is my way back to all of that—bringing everything I’ve learned about design, branding, illustration, and storytelling back to the medium I loved in the first place.

And I can’t think of many things more worthy of beautiful paper than the beginning of a marriage.
