These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase of products and services from Albany Lane, LLC, doing business as Albany Lane Paperie ("Albany Lane," "we," "our," or "us"). By placing an order, paying an invoice, approving artwork, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services

Albany Lane creates thoughtfully designed wedding and event stationery, including semi-custom Signature Edits, custom invitation suites, save the dates, day-of stationery, illustrated maps, venue illustrations, monograms, crests, and coordinating paper goods.

Each project is created specifically for the client and includes only those products and services outlined in the approved proposal, invoice, or order confirmation.

2. Signature Edits

Our Signature Edits are semi-custom collections designed to provide a refined and personalized experience without beginning from a completely custom design.

Clients may customize wording, colors, print methods, paper selections, embellishments, and other available options. The underlying artwork, composition, and design style remain part of the Signature Edit collection.

Requests that substantially alter the overall design or require creating an entirely new layout may require conversion to a custom design project and additional design fees.

3. Design Process

Unless otherwise stated, Signature Edit projects include:

Personalization of your selected collection
Up to two rounds of revisions
Digital proofs
Printing and finishing options selected with your order
Assembly services (when purchased)
Shipment of completed products to the client

Additional revisions or design requests beyond those included may incur additional fees.

4. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing complete and accurate information, including names, dates, addresses, guest lists, RSVP information, venue details, and all requested wording.

Clients agree to review every proof carefully before approval.

For guest addressing, Albany Lane prints addresses exactly as submitted by the client. We are not responsible for spelling errors, formatting inconsistencies, missing information, or duplicate entries contained within client-provided address lists.

5. Proof Approval

Digital proofs will be provided throughout the design process.

Production will not begin until written approval has been received.

Once proofs have been approved, the client accepts responsibility for all approved wording, spelling, grammar, punctuation, layout, dates, addresses, quantities, and other content.

Reprints resulting from client-approved errors will be billed at current production pricing.

6. Color & Handmade Materials

Every effort is made to accurately represent colors throughout the design process.

Because paper goods are produced using specialty papers, handcrafted embellishments, ribbons, wax seals, printing methods, and natural materials, slight variations in color, texture, impression, edge finish, ribbon dye lots, handmade paper, and other materials are normal and are considered part of the handcrafted nature of luxury stationery.

These natural variations are not considered defects.

Whenever possible, coordinating pieces should be ordered together to help achieve the greatest color consistency.

7. Project Timeline

Estimated production schedules are based upon timely communication from the client.

Clients agree to respond to proof requests and information requests within five (5) business days.

Extended communication delays may require production to be rescheduled and may result in updated pricing, restart fees, or revised completion dates.

While Albany Lane is happy to provide recommended ordering timelines, the client is solely responsible for placing their order early enough to allow adequate design, proofing, production, and shipping time before their event.

8. Payment

A non-refundable deposit or full payment, depending on the project, is required before design work begins.

Remaining balances are due before printing unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Invoices not paid by their due date may delay production.

Completed orders will not ship until payment has been received in full.

9. Cancellations

Because each project is custom created, all deposits and earned design fees are non-refundable.

Orders may not be canceled once printing or production has begun.

If a project is canceled after design work has started, Albany Lane reserves the right to invoice for all work completed to that point.

10. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping of completed products from Albany Lane to the client is separate from invitation mailing services.

Estimated shipping dates are not guaranteed.

Albany Lane is not responsible for delays caused by weather, supply shortages, production interruptions, or shipping carriers.

Once an order has been delivered to the shipping carrier, responsibility for loss, delay, or damage transfers to the carrier.

Shipping insurance is available upon request.

If Albany Lane is engaged to assemble, stamp, or prepare invitations for mailing through the United States Postal Service or another mailing carrier, the client understands that Albany Lane cannot guarantee delivery dates, routing, tracking accuracy, or the condition of items once they have been accepted by the postal or shipping carrier.

Albany Lane is not responsible for mail lost, delayed, returned, damaged, misdelivered, or otherwise affected after acceptance by USPS or any third-party shipping carrier. Postage costs, returned mail, replacement postage, and re-mailing expenses remain the responsibility of the client.

11. Intellectual Property

All artwork, illustrations, invitation designs, monograms, crests, venue illustrations, layouts, digital files, and creative work remain the exclusive intellectual property of Albany Lane, LLC unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Purchasing printed products does not transfer ownership of the artwork.

Clients may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, scan, digitize, or reuse Albany Lane artwork without prior written permission.

12. Artificial Intelligence

Albany Lane's artwork, proofs, and design files are confidential creative work.

Clients agree not to upload artwork, proofs, or design files to artificial intelligence platforms or services used for image generation, design replication, machine learning, or similar technologies without Albany Lane's written permission.

13. Portfolio Rights

Unless requested otherwise in writing before production begins, Albany Lane may photograph or display completed work for portfolios, websites, social media, publications, competitions, or other marketing purposes.

Upon request, Albany Lane will gladly delay publication of wedding stationery until after the wedding date or another mutually agreed date.

Personal addresses, contact information, and sensitive event details will never be intentionally shared.

14. Limitation of Liability

Albany Lane's total liability shall never exceed the amount paid by the client for the affected order.

Albany Lane is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from shipping delays, printing variations, postal delays, client-approved errors, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

15. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, labor shortages, supply chain interruptions, governmental actions, pandemics, carrier disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas.

The parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute before pursuing formal legal action.

17. Acceptance

By placing an order, paying an invoice, approving proofs, or accepting products or services from Albany Lane, LLC, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
